back to topicsBuilt in 1882, inspired the unique ambience of the palace also the world-famous writer Stefan Zweig. From 1895 to 1907, he lived at Rathausstrasse 17 – your address, if you choose to stay with us. During this period his volume of poetry entitled Silberne Saiten (Silver Strings) was published, as well as in 1904 his first novella, Die Liebe der Erika Ewald (The Love of Erika Ewald). He particularly valued the location's proximity to the famous Café Central. A Melange coffee at Café Central is a must as part of your leisurely itinerary during your stay.
