Vienna State Opera

The Vienna State Opera – one of the world's best known opera houses – is shaped by an illustrious past and an eclectic present: each season, around 350 performances of over 60 different operas and ballets attract up to 600,000 concertgoers. As a cultural institution, the Vienna State Opera picked up the baton from its predecessor, the Vienna Court Opera, which was founded and patronized by the ruling Habsburgs. Four of the historic state rooms are available to hire for events: the Marble Hall, the Gustav Mahler Hall, the Schwind Foyer and the Tea Salon. All of them can be viewed in a digital tour.

Ernst Fuchs Museum

Now home to the Ernst Fuchs Museum, the Otto Wagner villa is a valuable piece of Viennese architectural history. Built in 1888 by Otto Wagner and saved from ruin in 1972, the villa was converted into a museum in 1988. The world's largest collection of his pictures and sculptures is on show in six lavishly decorated rooms. The artist's former private quarters contain examples of his own furniture designs, inlay work and fabrics. The leaded windows by Adolf Böhm date back to the fin de siècle era. With its three spacious salons, the Roman-inspired bathroom on the first floor and the elegant loggia, the Ernst Fuchs Museum is one of the most sought-after event locations in Vienna today. You can enjoy the beautifully detailed virtual/online tour from the comfort of your own home.
