AOM Annual Meeting to bring 14,000+ management and organization scholars to Vienna in 2027

July 07, 2026 - For the first time, the Academy of Management's (AOM) Annual Meeting will take place in Vienna. From 30 July to 3 August 2027, more than 14,000 attendees from around the world will gather at the Austria Center Vienna and Vienna University of Economics and Business for the world's largest gathering of management and organization scholars, with over 4,000 scholarly sessions and symposia on emerging trends and pressing issues in management science.

Academy of Management President Tammy Madsen commented on Vienna's selection as host city: 
"The Annual Meeting - the leading global event for scholarly exchange, and the largest gathering of management and organization experts worldwide - brings together an international community of researchers committed to rigorous inquiry and the creation and exchange of knowledge. Vienna provides an important academic and cultural setting that will support scholarly engagement and foster new connections across disciplines and geographies, strengthening the development of the field."

This marks a significant achievement for the Vienna Convention Bureau of the Vienna Tourist Board. In close partnership with the Austria Center Vienna, it successfully brought AOM's Annual Meeting to Vienna.
